The Miss Universe pageant, like most beauty pageants, has its share of both fans and foes. However, whatever one's politics, it was hard to ignore yesterday's 2015 Miss Universe Pageant. The emcee, Steve Harvey, called Miss Colombia as the winner and the crowd went wild as Miss Colombia was crowned. In actuality, the judges had voted Miss Philippines as the new Miss Universe. Upon realizing his mistake, Harvey shamefacedly and very awkwardly made the correction and exited the stage as Miss Colombia had her crown removed from her head and placed atop Miss Philippines.
Harvey's flub was mercilessly covered in the media. Though Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines did not deserve the ensuing confusion and embarrassment, Harvey's mistake is definitely worth a viewing if you are in need of comic relief this holiday season.
